SBA Testing: May 19th - 27th

   On May 19th, 20th, 26th and 27th we will be modifying our school schedule to accommodate for the State SBA Assessments.  All 10th graders take 4 tests (2 ELA assessments and 2 Math assessments).  All 11th graders take the Science assessment.  These assessments are an important part of their graduation pathway, so please ensure all students who are testing arrive ready-to-test on their assigned testing days.  

 

  • 10th & 11th grade please arrive to school by 7:50 am and report to your advisory class for testing
  • 9th & 12th grade do not test, they can stay in Study Hall in the Agora or arrive at 10:20 on both testing days.
  • Tuesday 19th Testing:
    • All 10th grade students:  ELA Performance Task 
    • All 11th grade students: Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science
  • Wednesday May 20th Testing:
    • All 10th grade students:  ELA Computer Adaptive Test
    • ONLY 11th graders who did not complete the Science Assessment need to continue testing on this day. 
  • Tuesday May 26th Testing:
    • All 10th grade students:  Math Computer Adaptive Test
    • ONLY 11th graders who did not complete the Science Assessment need to continue testing on this day. 
  • Wednesday May 27th Testing: 
    • All 10th grade students:  Math Performative Task 
    •  ONLY 11th graders who did not complete the Science Assessment need to continue testing on this day. 
  • Ensure you bring your CHARGED CKSD Chromebook and earbuds/headphones (wired, not Bluetooth) for testing, no personal devices can be used for the state assessment. 
  • Phones (or any personal tech including smart watches, smart glasses, tablets, etc.) are NOT allowed out at all during the entire testing window.
  • Please bring a book to read, water bottle and a snack if you wish (for break time). All 10th graders should have an assigned ELA novel they can read during this time.
  • If you do not finish all your tests during this assigned time, we will complete make ups.  
  • Running Start 11th graders should plan on attending a testing session with Ms. Rummell in Room 130 or a contact the main office to schedule an alternative time.  
  • Students WILL NOT be release early if they complete their assigned testing, and the office WILL NOT process any early dismissal requests during a testing block.  No exceptions will be made for dentist, doctors or other appointments.
